Vermilion Asia’s team brings together experienced financial communicators, and professionals with journalist experience, all fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Based in Hong Kong and Shanghai, we leverage deep industry knowledge and a collaborative spirit to deliver integrated communications that resonate across Greater China’s dynamic markets.

Daniel Inman
Managing Director
Daniel is a highly experienced marketing and communications professional who has lived and worked in China for more than 20 years. He has a strong understanding of business, economic and financial topics in Asia, as well as extensive network of media contacts across the region. Before founding Vermilion Asia, he was a reporter at The Wall Street Journal and FinanceAsia. He has a BA and MPhil in Philosophy from University College London.

Stephanie Cheung
Partner
Stephanie is a well-rounded public relations professional who helped both financial, technology and consumer companies with a diverse range of services including media relations, social media, and events. Before entering public relations, she previously worked at FinanceAsia. Having worked in Shanghai for more than a decade ago, she has hands-on experience servicing a wide range of high-profile international and Chinese clients.

Fiona Law
PR and Content Specialist
Fiona is a professional who brings a unique mix of media and financial industry experience, having worked as a reporter in both TV and print media. After covering China's bond market at The Wall Street Journal, she moved on to corporate strategy at Bank of China, before spending five years as a bond dealer at Bank of Communications.s a graduate of Hong Kong University.

Michelle Sun
Head of China
Michelle manages our operations in Mainland China. She brings a diverse range of PR experience, having worked in agencies, as well as in house at private companies and at a major SOE. She handles media relations and crisis management, and has serviced major clients in the technology and industrials space. Her previous role before joining Vermilion Asia was Communications Manager at state-owned aircraft engine company AECC. She is a graduate in International Economic Law from East China University of Politics and Law.

Phani Kumar
Content Specialist
Phani is an experienced content specialist and former financial journalist. He was most recently heavily involved in business sustainability, executive and employee communications at Prudential plc, following a 20-year career as a reporter and editor at news media including Bloomberg, Nikkei, MarketWatch and FinanceAsia.

Tom Hancock
Content Specialist
Tom is a content specialist with special expertise in the Chinese economy, which he has covered working at a range of top-tier international media: including the Financial Times, Bloomberg, and AFP. He has a BA and MPhil in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge.

Ka Ming Hung
Video Producer
Ka Ming is in charge of Vermilion Asia's video output. With more than a decade of experience in TV and promotional film production, he covers the entire pre-production to post-production process. His strong visual aesthetics and storytelling capabilities have been recognised by international awards at the New York Festival and Promax Asia.
